This is my debut album. I called it Wired Stuff because I was experimenting a lot with different gear like telephones and toys basically anything electrical that I could interact with. I was also trying out my voice in various acoustic settings. I lived in Barcelona then and my flat was wired up in cables as I was recording in different rooms, on the roof top, in the chimney and even inside the washing machine. A lot of my early sample library was made at this point. The songs on Wired Stuff are recorded mainly in Berlin as I moved there in the process.

'An exiting and alternating electronic album, heidi's talent is clear and versatile' Geiger

'Breathing, organic, orgasmic..' Boys In Babeland

'Wired Stuff is an album that does all-too-good a job of making you feel you've met your match' Popmatters

'In a musical field of exitement between CocoRosie and Autechre. Heidi Mortenson surely has listened to PJ Harvey and probably also disposes over a solid collection of electro records' Gaffa

'Hechel, hechel, Glitch, Orgel, Beat. Die ersten Takte, und I'm a slave 4 U. Heidi!' INTRO.de

'Musically, it's a cacophony of machines, electro-pulses, and static that Mortenson just barely has under control' Popmatters

'A musical span of international class' Undertoner
